Q1) In the last line, what did the writer mean by suggesting that “he may have found more porcupines than rats?”
He means that, In the speech of senior minister Goh Chok tong we learn that we Singaporean are divide into two categories which is rat and porcupine.Rats are those who scared of the aggressor and would not stand up for Singapore;Porcupine are those who stood up bravely and fight for Singapore and chase off the intruders or maybe terrorist in the right term.What the writer mean is most that Singaporean are coward and only waiting what the government and not what people can help the government
Q2) What’s worth giving up your life for?
For the people you around you that you love as they are the dearest to me, my best friend in (currently now studying in Coral Secondary) and for my own country as i think it would would be my pride and joy to protect it at any cost and it not worth to live in a country you would not want to risk my life, my dreams are the fourth thing as each and every people have their own dreams and the dreams which is very important may even worth more than a life, i have some goals and dream that i will want to achive, like playing better at basketball, gain new knowledge that will help me in studies,jobs and life and finally, one of the dreams that i really want to achive, playing a electric gituar and classical gituar.
